Welcome to NAMI Nebraska

NAMI Nebraska is a nonprofit, grassroots organization dedicated to education, support and advocacy with anyone whose life has been touched by mental illness. We believe in recovery and the hope for a better future.

NAMI Nebraska helps unite parents, spouses, siblings, friends and people who have a mental illness together with mental health professionals to fight for improved treatment, a better quality of life and recovery.

Individuals identify recovery as being an ongoing journey and an end result as well as an overall paradigm for achieving wellness and optimal mental health.

NAMI Nebraska available to support persons on their road to recovery by providing respect and peer support. Consumers have a personal responsibility for their own self-care and journeys of recovery. NAMI Nebraska provides the support for individuals and families on their journey.

NAMI WALK 2014 was a GREAT SUCCESS! Thank you so much to everyone involved!

 NEW!!! Connections Meeting for LGBTIQ community! 

We currently have 2 Connection Meetings for the LGBTIQ community.


Location: Lied Transplant Center, 4310 Emile, University of Nebraska Medical Center Campus; entrance just west of Valet Parking.

Meeting will take place on the 2nd floor in room 2755. 

Time: Sundays from 3:00p-4:30pm


Location: First Central Congregational Church, 421 S 36th St, Omaha; entrance on West side of church at the South patio door

Signs will direct to the meeting room. 

Time: Every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month (starting October 9, 2014) from 7:00p-8:30pm
