Welcome to NAMI Nebraska
NAMI Nebraska is a nonprofit, grassroots organization dedicated to education, support and advocacy with anyone whose life has been touched by mental illness. We believe in recovery and the hope for a better future.
NAMI Nebraska helps unite parents, spouses, siblings, friends and people who have a mental illness together with mental health professionals to fight for improved treatment, a better quality of life and recovery.
Individuals identify recovery as being an ongoing journey and an end result as well as an overall paradigm for achieving wellness and optimal mental health.
NAMI Nebraska available to support persons on their road to recovery by providing respect and peer support. Consumers have a personal responsibility for their own self-care and journeys of recovery. NAMI Nebraska provides the support for individuals and families on their journey.

Family-to-Family is a FREE COURSE for family members, partners and friends of individuals with mental illnesses/brain disorders.

Other mental illnesses
A series of 12 classes (1 session weekly) structured to help caregivers understand and support individuals with mental illness while maintaining their own well-being. Includes information about mental illnesses, medications, coping, resources, and family communication.
Fridays, 6:00 -9:00 pm at Community Alliance, 41st & Leavenworth.
Begins August 29th. Register by August 22nd.
Tuesdays, 6:30 – 9:00 pm, Christ Community Church, 404 S 108th
Begins September 9. Register by September 2.
Wednesdays, 3:00 – 5:00 pm, Omaha VA Medical Center Recovery Center (Building #8), Conference Room.
Begins September 10. Register by September 2.
Registration is required. These courses are sponsored by NAMI Omaha. Each course is limited to 25 people.
