NAMI Welcomes 2 New Members to the NAMI Nebraska Team

NAMI Nebraska would like to welcome 2 wonderful people to our staff. Stephanie and Suzanne are really great people, and if you come by the NAMI Nebraska office, say hello.

Stephanie Metzen graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May 2011. Following school, Stephanie spent one year working as an English professor at Escuela Politecnica Nacional. During her time abroad, she volunteered at a school intended to educate and serve both students with various handicaps and normally functioning ones. As a Lutheran Volunteer Corps. participant, she is thrilled to serve as Advocate Associate for NAMI Nebraska.

Suzanne Noonan joined NAMI Nebraska August 23, 2012 as the new Connections Coordinator. Suzanne is new to the Omaha area, having moved from Grand Island in July 2012. She brings with her experience in psychiatric care, detox health care, and health information management. Suzanne has enjoyed talking with and meeting Connections Facilitators and is looking forward to making a difference through education, support, and advocacy. She has a passion for mental health care and moving toward stability and wellness.
