CIT Police Officers

CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) Officers are police officers who have been trained to deal with mental health crises. CIT officers are better able to safely and effectively work with a person living with a mental illness.

If the need arises to call the police due to a mental health crisis, you can ask for a CIT officer to be sent.

(Correction Officers can also take the training.)
