NAMI Homefront (For Friends and Family of Veterans with Mental Health Issues)

HOMEFRONT: 6-week course for family and friends of soldier and veterans with post-traumatic problems and or mental health problems. Begins Thursdays, March 8, 6:30-8:30 pm at VA Recovery Center.

Nami Homefront is a six-week educational program for families, friends, and caregivers of veterans that suffer from mental health challenges. Based on the family-to-family program, the purpose of NAMI Homefront is to help the unique needs of the family members who have service members or veterans who are living with the agony of mental illness.

Recovery is a journey and there is always hope for those who suffer from mental illness. This live interpersonal experience helps to provide the opportunity a peer support. You will meet others who will be able to relate to your experience. As with all of NAMI’s programs, this class is free of charge.
